Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026
1. Information we collect
Bracket Assistant may collect and store personal information such as name, email address, and optional phone number, as well as usage data, tournament data, player registration details, participant names, match results, communications, account information, and billing metadata needed to operate the service. Bracket Assistant is operated by JI Technology LLC.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, provision accounts, power tournament setup, publish public tournament pages, send organizer-triggered communications, enforce plan limits, manage billing and subscription state, provide support, and improve the service.
3. Email communications
We may send registration confirmations, tournament updates, service-related notifications, password reset emails, billing notices, and similar transactional communications. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails without appropriate consent.
4. Push tournament alerts
If you choose to enable browser-based tournament alerts, we temporarily store an anonymous push subscription record for your device or browser so we can deliver those alerts. These subscription records are not tied to a known user identity in our product, but they may include technical delivery data such as a push endpoint, cryptographic keys, the tournament or team being followed, and a return path for the alert. We automatically expire and delete these temporary subscription records shortly after the related tournament ends.
5. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, Google AdSense for advertising on select pages, and hosting, infrastructure, database, and authentication providers such as Supabase and related operational vendors. These providers may process data as necessary to deliver their services.
6. Advertising and cookies
We may display Google AdSense ads on select pages. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to personalize ads, limit repeat ad impressions, and measure ad performance. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalization preferences at adssettings.google.com.
7. Payment processing
Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. We may store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, billing status information, and subscription timing metadata, but payment card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored directly in Bracket Assistant.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share information only when necessary to provide the service, when organizers publish public tournament information, when service providers process data on our behalf, or when required by law.
9. Public tournament pages
Organizers can publish tournament information, registration pages, and live standings pages. Information included on those pages may be visible to players, spectators, or anyone with the link, depending on how the organizer shares the event.
10. Organizer-controlled content
Organizers are responsible for the content they enter into tournaments, player communications, and payment instructions. If you are running events through the platform, you should provide any additional event-specific privacy notices your participants need.
11. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no system is completely secure. You should also protect your own account credentials and devices.
12. Data retention
We retain data as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain account history, prevent abuse, support tournaments, manage billing, comply with legal obligations, and maintain backups or operational records. Anonymous push alert subscriptions are intended to be temporary and are automatically deleted shortly after the related tournament ends.
13. Your rights and requests
You may contact us to request access to your information or request deletion of data, subject to legal, operational, security, and account-history limitations. Contact support@bracketassistant.com for privacy-related requests.
14. Children’s privacy
The service is not intended for minors, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children through a minor-focused service.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the updated effective date on this page will reflect the change.
